Two weeks ago, I built a small app for my mom’s Milan trip with Grok bot.
Last year, I flew to Milan to visit a friend who planned a beautiful tour: the Duomo, the gallery, art shows, nice restaurants, etc.
I asked him for the locations and names of the places we’d visited to help my mom plan her trip. He sent them, I copy-pasted them to my design and software eng bot and told it to build an easy-to-use app for her.
After ~ 15 min, I had a rough prototype. I added a few features, tweaked the design, and simplified it just by talking and texting with the bots.
Two days later, I sent it to her, and she loved it!
I never would have thought of or tried building something like that before.

What prompted it
The author’s mom was planning a trip to Milan, and the author wanted to pass on the tour a friend had planned for them: the Duomo, the gallery, art shows, restaurants.
What Grok Bot did
- Asked the friend for the names and locations of the places.
- Pasted them into the design and software engineering bot and asked for an easy-to-use app for the author’s mom.
- Had a rough prototype after about 15 minutes.
- Added features, tweaked the design and simplified it just by talking and texting with the bots.
- Two days later, sent the app to the author’s mom.
