How to Build from your Tesla using any LLM, with Grok Bot as the Front Door
I was asked to summarize everything I needed to do in my Tesla/Grok Bot video from earlier today, so here's an article summarizing everything. I've also built a new Grok Bot Template for the Mac Mini setup (link at bottom of article). https://x.com/i/article/2104366521078157312
What you need
- Connected apps
- A cloud drive connector such as Google Drive, unless you use an always-on Mac.
What prompted it
After a viral video, people asked the author how to set up building from a Tesla.
How it’s set up
- Log a Grok account into the Tesla, set up a Grok Bot account, and check that Grok can see your Grok Bots.
- Optionally keep a Mac awake at home, so the bot can run any coding tool there in a background terminal.
- Without an always-on Mac, have your bots do the work through a Cursor cloud agent.
- Connect a cloud drive so finished work lands in a folder that syncs to your phone.
- From then on, just prompt by voice, and ask your AI whenever you’re unsure how to do something.
Evidence and limits
- Original post checked on X (Oct 17, 2026)
- The post shares a setup; no result reported yet
- Not reproduced by anyone else yet
If Grok in the car can’t see your bots yet, wait; it took the author a few days.
