I've heard a couple times that I have an interesting system, so I'll try to keep it short. Not too detail-y but enough as to showing you the concepts.
First of all, I don't have a business. I don't use it to make money. I use it to save time, and money, and energy. Tiny intro: Me and my wife work full time, and we have 3 kids, 2 in med school and one in high school + a cat
Individual chief of staffs with multiple bots for everyone in the family. The only unique part here is that the chief of staffs also communicate with each other.
Groceries - All automated, connected with my samsung fridge and can literally access and see what's in the fridge. Orders what we need twice a week. The camera can only see 2 shelves, so I have also fed the agent a typical grocery list - as simple as scanning your last couple receipts. Saves so much time. Also looks for discounts and applies codes + orders routine items. If there's a pick up to be made it happens on certain days and times at 1 of 2 stores on my way home from work. It also sends a message in the morning - this helps because clothes etc ordered by anyone in the family comes to the same place, and it's just so much easier to pick up everything at once.
Health - resupplying prescription medicines, dental appointments and every other routine activity. It's fed on data from blood test (although do this sparingly because flagging healthy values can make some people stress out, I have a medical background so i like to think i'm ok) etc.
Also, 2 of the kids are student athletes so they take note of injuries and make personal training plans + nutrition, as well as tracking progress (does this for me too) to make sure we all get closer to our health goals. For me and the wife, it's mainly attuned to keeping our functions as we age gracefully, for the kids it's more lift 10 cars or something of that nature.
Academics for the kids - For the youngest a little stricter, more relaxed for the older ones. It keeps track of homework, schedules and makes a loosely reccomended study schedule. Every now and then i go in and check to make sure everyone is working diligently (so they can achieve *their* goals - NOTE: This is a good tool, don't let it substitute your own attention to your family. This is just so no fires start!)
Travel - Note of our travel preferences (warm, sunny, water), looks for the best and cheapest deal that fits for 6 people in accordance with out schedules. Another thing i've made it do is sync to each persons calendar and look for weekend trips that at least 2 or more people can go on together!
So to summarize just a lot of convenient things that save us all money and time collectively!
What you need
- Connected apps
- A Samsung fridge with a camera, and each person's calendar.
What prompted it
The author and their spouse both work full time, with three kids (two in med school, one in high school) and a cat. The goal is to save time, money and energy, not to make money.
What Grok Bot did
- Groceries: the bot checks what's in the fridge through its camera and orders what's needed twice a week, finds discounts and applies codes. Pickups happen on set days at 1 of 2 stores on the author's way home, with a morning message so everything is picked up at once.
- Health: it handles prescription refills, dental appointments and other routine care, using blood test data.
- For the two student athletes, it notes injuries, makes training and nutrition plans, and tracks progress. It does the same for the author.
- Academics: it tracks the kids' homework and schedules and suggests a loose study schedule, stricter for the youngest.
- Travel: it looks for the best and cheapest deals for 6 people that fit everyone's schedules, and checks calendars for weekend trips at least 2 people can take together.
