What you need

Connected apps
Stripe, Google Analytics, Search Console, Meta Ads and Google Ads, through connectors, MCPs, APIs or the bot’s browser, whichever works.
Routines
A morning routine, set up only after several clean runs by hand.

What prompted it

Working out what was happening in the business meant opening a load of platforms, each with its own dashboard and its own idea of what matters.

What Grok Bot did

  1. Built a simple dashboard in Cursor with the numbers the author already checks: revenue, ad spend, traffic, search and new customers.
  2. Had Cursor keep the numbers in data files, and told the bot that is where the data goes.
  3. Made a bot whose only job is to keep the dashboard current, and told it which fields to pull from each source.
  4. It cleans the data first (dates, currencies, renamed campaigns, overlapping date ranges) and flags any source it couldn’t update.
  5. After each update it adds anything odd to a “Things worth looking at” section.
  6. Ran it by hand and checked the numbers against the original dashboards before turning it into a routine.

Evidence and limits

  • Outcome reported by the author
  • Not reproduced by anyone else yet
  • Don’t collect everything. Tell the bot only the fields the dashboard needs.
  • Let Stripe have the final say on revenue, since every ad platform takes credit for the sale.
  • Better to show yesterday’s number with a warning than a made-up one after a failed login.
