How Legal Ops uses Grok Bot for counsel 1:1 prep, Slack triage, contract workflows, and draft-then-human-send review.
What you need
- Connected apps
- Slack, Notion, meeting notes, Drive, Salesforce and the contract system (Ironclad).
- Routines
- A tracker refresh roughly every 30 minutes, a twice-daily commercial enrichment and a Monday digest of open items.
- Skills
- Skills and routines are edited in chat, and the next refresh picks up the change.
What prompted it
Counsel time was going to rebuilding context from Slack, Notion and Salesforce, and legal guidance was drifting between threads.
What Grok Bot did
- Before counsel 1:1s, Grok Bot reviews Slack, Notion, meeting notes and trackers and drafts an agenda; afterwards it writes the decisions back.
- It watches legal Slack traffic for unanswered questions and conflicting guidance.
- It maintains a Legal Review tracker built from Slack intake requests and adds deal context from Salesforce and Deal Desk to open rows.
- When explicitly asked, it moves counsel-approved documents into the right contract workflow, showing a preview and asking for confirmation before any write.
Watch out for
- A human reviews every outbound message.
- Writes to systems of record need an explicit request, a preview and a confirmation.
