I want my [device or service] data available to my AI tools. Check whether it has a public API right now, and if it does, write a short spec for a connector: what data it reads, how sign-in works, and what it should never do. The original post

Garmin finally brought back their personal API and as a lover of all things MCP, I decided to take a quick shot at integrating the two.
This idea was recommended by the research preview of Claude Duet. I asked it if it could integrate with my Garmin and it let me know that the API was reopened just yesterday. It drafted up a spec document for me, which I threw straight into Claude Code, and it was done within the hour.
This is 100% open source project that allows you to connect all of your Garmin data to your favorite AI agent through an MCP server. I hope you find this helpful! https://github.com/Mason-Levyy/garmin-personal-mcp
