Every Grok Bot Hack I Know (Aug 2026)
What you need
- Connected apps
- AgentMail inboxes, Twilio for calls, Granola notes, Instacart, Google Calendar and more, depending on the hack.
- Routines
- Weekly research sweeps, a morning kids-calendar email, and a cookie sync every 15 minutes.
- Skills
- Compound Engineering (ce-plan and ce-work), installed globally by telling the bot to install it.
What prompted it
After two weeks of Grok Bot handling the inbox, research, meeting notes, the kids’ calendar and groceries, the author wanted to write down what actually works.
What Grok Bot did
- Make the bot write a plan before any non-trivial job.
- Give each bot its own email address instead of sharing your Gmail, and forward emails to it as tasks.
- Give it a phone number (Twilio) for short calls; it switches languages mid-call.
- Turn one bot into a research bot you can text, and schedule weekly sweeps of your business and competitors with cron.
- Talk to one front-door bot that delegates to the others, and use an advisor bot to create and prune bots.
- Write instructions in layers, keep routines silent unless something real happens, and send screenshots instead of retyping.
- Keep money and sending behind approval, and count which bots actually own an outcome.
Evidence and limits

- Outcome reported by the author
- Not reproduced by anyone else yet
- All bots share one cloud computer, with the same files and logins, so separate bots are not a security boundary.
- Recorded workflows are capped at ten minutes, so split long ones into stages.
- Unsupervised crews of bots can multiply errors; run each bot solo until it beats its job.
- Start on the cheapest plan and watch the usage meter before adding routines.
